Our story

Hurghada Day Trips was created to make choosing excursions on the Red Sea simple and honest. Holidaymakers in Hurghada are offered dozens of trips by beach sellers, hotel reps and websites — often with unclear prices and vague descriptions. We wanted one place where every trip is explained properly, compared fairly and booked with a registered company.

What we do

We select and present excursions around Hurghada, El Gouna, Makadi Bay, Sahl Hasheesh, Soma Bay and Safaga: sea trips and snorkeling, desert safaris, Luxor trips, Cairo and Pyramids trips, and city and family activities. We handle your booking from the first question to the pickup confirmation.

How trips are delivered

Trips are operated on the ground by licensed Egyptian tour operators, boat owners and transport providers who work with us. We choose partners based on safety, punctuality, guide quality and guest feedback, and we remove partners who fall short.

Our standards

  • Clear descriptions: timings, inclusions and exclusions on every page.
  • Respect for wildlife: no captive dolphin shows, responsible wild-dolphin watching, and horse and camel welfare checks.
  • Reef protection: reef-safe sunscreen advice and no-touch rules on every sea trip.
  • No pressure: shopping stops are optional and clearly marked.

“We were asked to pay extra at the marina / island / desert camp.”

One confirmed price. Everything listed as included is paid for — entry fees, island transfers, safety gear, lunch. Optional extras are listed with typical prices before you book, and nobody on our trips will ask you for a surprise fee.

“Our pickup was two hours late and nobody told us why.”

Your exact pickup time arrives the evening before, and if traffic or another hotel delays the driver, we message you. You are never left waiting in a lobby wondering if you've been forgotten.

“The boat was overcrowded and oversold.”

Every departure has a capacity limit and we tell you honestly whether a trip is a shared boat, a small group or private — so you choose the atmosphere you want.

“A five-hour safari with only 25 minutes on the quad.”

Each trip page states the real activity time — how long you actually snorkel, ride or explore — not just the total hours door to door.

“We were dragged into papyrus and alabaster shops.”

Shopping stops are optional and clearly labelled. Tell your guide you'd rather skip them and that's the end of it — no pressure, no commission-driven detours.

“They charged $40 for photos we never agreed to.”

Photos and videos are always optional, with the price told before anyone starts shooting. You pay only if you want them.
