The coach leaves while Hurghada is still asleep. You doze as the road climbs through the mountains, and wake as green fields appear along the Nile. By mid-morning you're standing at the entrance to Karnak, and your Egyptologist starts telling stories that make 3,000-year-old stones come alive.

It is long but very manageable in a comfortable coach. If you prefer more time and fewer people, choose the private or two-day trip.
Which tombs will we see?
The standard ticket covers three tombs chosen from those open on the day. The guide recommends the best ones; Tutankhamun's tomb can be added.
What time do we get back?
Usually between 21:00 and 22:00, depending on traffic and your hotel.
Are there shopping stops?
